<description>For older FCD's with labeled/marked wires, the labels or markings may have been rendered incoherent by either the user or normal wear and tear. To determine the function of each wire, please visit our support page to download the appropriate wiring diagram for your FCD's version. You will need to open the FCD's enclosure and carefully compare the wire origins to their depicted locations in the diagram.

<description>Using a multimeter to monitor the FCD output, carefully lower the voltage until you have reached your car's specific threshold voltage (usually near 4.6V).

<description>As suggested in the installation instructions, be sure to adjust the use a multimeter to monitor the FCD output. Adjust the potentiometer accordingly; chances are the output threshold is set too low.

        <description>FAQ

	* I'm not very good with electronics or wiring, can I install an FCD?
	* I don't know what version SymTech FCD I have.
	* I've lost/removed the wire labels, or the color coded markings have been removed.
	* I've installed the FCD, and my car still has fuel cut.
	* I've installed the FCD, and my car runs, but poorly.
	* No matter where I set the FCD, the output voltage is high.</description>

<description>All fuel cut defenders sold since February 2008 are v2.5 fuel cut defenders.

FCD's using a green/red/black wiring scheme and through-hole electronic components are v1.0 FCD's, while those using a red/orange/yellow/green/black scheme and surface mount (SMT) components are v2.0 or v2.5 FCD's.
